Sheree Carter-Galvan Sheree Carter-Galvan joined the Office of the General Counsel in 2006 as an Associate General Counsel. Prior to joining Yale, Sheree was an associate at the law firm, Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, in New York City. She practiced at Paul, Weiss for over nine years before working as outside counsel for a variety of entertainment-related companies. Sheree provides legal support to the University in connection with its various digitization, publishing and new media initiatives, arts-related and cultural matters and licensing arrangements. Her focus includes copyright and trademark law. Sheree served on the Board of Afro-Brazil Arts, a New York City arts and education organization for four years. She received her A.B. from Harvard, cum laude, in 1989, and her J.D. from Yale Law School in 1993. She is conversant in Spanish and is a member of the Connecticut and New York bars. |
